Spartan Pride is a team in the Cambrian Relay for Life, an American Cancer Society fundraiser being held April 27-28, 2012 at Union Middle School in San Jose.

We have been friends since our days at San Jose State, and we are proud alumni coming together to raise money for the fight against cancer while giving our alma mater some positive exposure in the community. We were the event’s top fundraising team in 2010 and 2011, raising over $17,000 each year.

About Relay for Life

The American Cancer Society Relay For Life unites communities across the country each year to celebrate the lives of those who have battled cancer, remember loved ones lost, and fight back against a disease that takes too much. Teams camp out at a local school or park and take turns walking or running around a track for 24 hours. By participating, you honor cancer survivors, pay tribute to the lives we’ve lost to the disease, and raise money to help fight cancer in your community.

We also encourage people to join or financially support the American Cancer Society’s Cancer Action Network that represents the interests of cancer causes, researchers, patients and survivors on legislative matters in Washington, D.C.
